1. Bolt
   • Steel bolt 9 Nm
   • Aluminum bolt 4 Nm +45°
   • Aluminum bolt: Always replace after removal
2. Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205-
   • Always replace the O-ring -item  ) O-Ring.
   • Removing and installing. Refer to Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
3. Seal
   • Always replace after removing
   • Coat with oil before assembly
4. Upper Timing Chain Cover
   • Removing and installing. Refer to TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, ENGINE WITH ONE CAMSHAFT ADJUSTER .
5. Cap
6. Seal
   • Always replace after removing
7. Bolt
   • Tightening sequence. Refer to Fig 2.
8. Seal
   • Always replace if damaged
9. O-Ring
   • Always replace after removing
   • Coat with oil before assembly
10. Engine
11. Alignment Pins
    • For centering the cover
12. Lower Timing Chain Cover
    • Replacing. Refer to LOWER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REPLACING .
13. Seal
    • For the vibration damper
    • Replacing. Refer to VIBRATION DAMPER SEAL, REPLACING .
14. Plugs
    • Always replace after removing
15. Bolt
    • With 15 bolts. Refer to Figure.
    • With 8 bolts. Refer to Figure.
    • Always replace after removing
16. O-Ring
    • Always replace after removing
    • Coat with oil before assembly
17. Oil Dipstick Tube
18. Bolt
    • 9 Nm

-- Tighten the bolts -1 to 6- in the sequence shown to 9 Nm.
