Upper Timing Chain Cover, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [DAZA, DNWA] .

-- Disconnect the vacuum hose from the T-connection -1-.

-- Disconnect the connector -2- for the Wastegate Bypass Regulator Valve -N75-.

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and move the bracket to the side.

-- Free up the wiring harness.

-- Remove the connectors for the knock sensors -1 and 2- from the bracket, disconnect them, and free up the wires.

-- Remove the front coolant pipes. Refer to FRONT COOLANT PIPES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the left coolant pipe. Refer to LEFT COOLANT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the connector -2- for the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor - G62-.

-- Remove the double bolt -3- and remove the coolant connection -1- and move to the side.

-- Remove the bolts in the sequence -12 to 1-, and carefully loosen the upper timing chain cover from the bonding.

-- Drive out the seal from the upper timing chain cover. Refer to UPPER TIMING CHAIN COVER SEAL, REPLACING .
