Upper Timing Chain Cover Seal, Replacing

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Seal Installer - Drive Axle: VW195
Press Piece - 60mm: VW415A
Camshaft Installer Kit - Sleeve: 3241/4

Procedure

-- Remove the upper timing chain cover. Refer to UPPER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Drive out the seal with the : VW195 in direction of -arrow-.

-- Make sure the upper timing chain cover is free of any sealant residue and support it with molded tabs -arrows- on a secure surface and press in the new seal all the way using the : 3241/4 .

-- Install the upper timing chain cover. Refer to UPPER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
