Cylinder Head Cover Left And Right, Installing And Removing, Vehicles With A Turbocharger: Removing

-- Remove the engine cover, refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the left fuel injector, refer to FUEL INJECTORS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the left fuel rail, refer to HIGH PRESSURE RESERVOIR (RAIL), REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the refrigerant line with inner heat exchanger, refer to Refrigerant Circuit Components, Replacing .

-- Remove the Intake Flap Motor -V157-, refer to Intake Flap Motor -V157-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -1- and then remove the intake manifold mount.

NOTE: Ignore item -2-.

-- If applicable, remove bolt -1- for the heat shield.

-- Free up the wiring harness on the cylinder head cover using the Pry Lever 80-200.

CAUTION: Depending on the vehicle equipment level and market-specific crankcase ventilation hose may be used, which cannot be removed from the cylinder head cover without being destroyed. In these versions the hose on the cylinder head cover is destroyed and replaced.

-- Remove the hose -arrow- for the crankcase ventilation, to do so - if equipped- press the release button or the damage the hose connection on the cylinder head cover.

-- Loosen the bolts in sequence -7 to 1-.

-- Remove the bolts and the cylinder head cover.
