Pay attention to clean working conditions for the transmission. Refer to GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
-- Remove the subframe crossbrace. Refer to Subframe .
The suspension components could be damaged.
- Do not rest the vehicle on its wheels if the subframe mount, the steering gear or the subframe crossbrace are not installed correctly.
-- Mount the Engine/Gearbox Jack - Gearbox SupportT10337 on the Engine and Gearbox JackVAS6931 and attach it under the transmission.
-- Raise the transmission slightly.
There is the risk of an accident.
- The Engine and Gearbox JackVAS6931 may only be used during assembly and must not sit unsupervised under the vehicle.
-- Remove the transmission support with the transmission mount. Refer to [For engine(s) CEUC,CRDB] Subframe Mount[For engine(s) CTUA,CGXB] Subframe Mount[For engine(s) CPNB] Subframe Mount .
-- Drain the Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF). Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID (ATF), DRAINING AND FILLING .
-- Remove the bolts from the Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) pan in the following sequence: -12 through 1-.
-- Remove the Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) oil pan.
