Mixture Adjustment: Measured Values, Reading Out

The measured values needed will be erased when the DTC memory is cleared.
- DTC memory not erased.
-- Connect the diagnostic tester. Refer to VEHICLE DIAGNOSTIC TESTER, CONNECTING .
-- Perform the following steps on the diagnostic tester:
- Guided functions
- Vehicle brand and type
- Functions
- Engine electronics
- Read the measured values
- IDE 00597 Long Term Adaptation of Bank 1/3 Mixture Formation (Long Term Fuel Trim Bank 1/3)
- 6 and 8-cylinder engines additionally: IDE 00598 Long Term Adaptation of Bank 2 Mixture Formation (Long Term Fuel Trim Bank 2)

-- Evaluate the values:
If the value < 15%: add fuel injector cleaner G17 according to the chart. Refer to MIXTURE ADJUSTMENT: FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER, ADDING .
If the displayed value deviates by > 15%, then the Fuel Injector Cleaner G17 must be increased by a factor of 4. Refer to MIXTURE ADJUSTMENT: FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER, ADDING .
CAUTION:
If a deviation of > 15% is repeated, then a repair is necessary.
