Turbocharger, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

Replace the seals and O-rings.

Replace the actuator rod for the turbocharger.

Fill the turbocharger at the oil supply line connections with engine oil.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps of the same type as those equipped by the factory.

To ensure the turbocharger is supplied with enough oil, let the engine run at idle for approximately 1 minute after installing the turbocharger. Do not increase the engine speed during this time.

-- Coat the threaded pin threads for the turbocharger with hot bolt paste.

-- Install the seal.

-- Install the turbocharger.

-- Coat the threads on the bolt for the turbocharger support with hot bolt paste.

-- Attach the turbocharger support and tighten the bolts to the pre-tightening specification, refer to Figure.

-- Tighten the nuts for the turbocharger to the previous and final tightening specifications, refer to Figure.

-- Tighten the turbocharger support to the final tightening specification, refer to Figure.

-- Install the wires, refer to DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION and => appropriate System Wiring Diagram Information.

-- Install the plenum chamber bulkhead, refer to Bulkhead .

-- Install the right secondary air injection combination valve, refer to COMBINATION VALVE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the charge air cooler housing, refer to Installing .
