Overview - Heater And A/C Unit

  1. Coolant Pipe for the Heater Core
    • Coolant supply from engine
  2. Coolant Pipe for the Heater Core
    • Coolant return to engine
  3. O-Ring Seal
    • Replacing
  4. Hose Clamp
    • 2 Nm
  5. Bracket for Coolant Pipes
    • For the heater core
  6. Bolt
    • 2 Nm
  7. Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35-
    • For vehicles with TDI- engines and for vehicles with a high voltage system (hybrid vehicle with gasoline engine)
      NOTE:

      Currently an Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35- is also installed on vehicles with a high voltage system (hybrid vehicles) and a gasoline engine, refer to ELECTRICAL AUXILIARY HEATER ACTIVATION, CHECKING .

      For vehicles with a gasoline engine, the electric auxiliary heater (the Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35-) is activated by the Climatronic Control Module -J255- control head via the local data bus (activated via the same outlet and also via the Fresh Air Blower Control Module -J126-) on the Auxiliary Air Heater Control Module -J604-. If there is a complaint with these vehicles, check the Fresh Air Blower Control Module -J126- or Fresh Air Blower -V2- and the Auxiliary Air Heater Control Module -J604-. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function and appropriate System Wiring Diagram.

    • Currently there is no heating element installed for vehicles with a parking heater
    • Checking, refer to ELECTRICAL AUXILIARY HEATER ACTIVATION, CHECKING .
    • Removing and Installing, refer to AUXILIARY HEATER HEATING ELEMENT -Z35-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

  11. Air Distribution Housing
