Overview - Evaporator Housing

- Evaporator Housing Lower Section
- Removing and installing, refer to EVAPORATOR HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Refrigerant Pipe to the Evaporator
- In the original equipment with evaporator. If a repair is required, replace separately.
- Removing and installing, refer to EVAPORATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Retaining Plate
- From the repair kit for the evaporator
- To tighten the refrigerant pipe on the evaporator
- Bolt
- 5 Nm
- From the repair kit for the evaporator
- Refrigerant Pipe to the Evaporator
- In the original equipment with evaporator. If a repair is required, replace separately.
- Removing and installing, refer to EVAPORATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- O-Ring Seal
- Replacing.
- Lubricate lightly with refrigerant oil before installing, refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
- Grommet
- With a support ring for sealing the holes for the refrigerant lines through the plenum chamber bulkhead
- Removing and installing, refer to REFRIGERANT LINE GROMMET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Retaining Plate
- To secure the refrigerant line and secure the expansion valve
- Expansion Valve
- Overview, refer to OVERVIEW - REFRIGERANT LINES, EXPANSION VALVE, INNER HEAT EXCHANGER .
- Bolt
- Tightening specification, refer to OVERVIEW - REFRIGERANT LINES, EXPANSION VALVE, INNER HEAT EXCHANGER .
- Support Ring
- The boot contact pressure increases on the plenum chamber bulkhead
- O-Ring Seal
- Replacing.
- Lubricate lightly with refrigerant oil before installing, refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
- O-Ring Seal
- Replacing.
- Lubricate lightly with refrigerant oil before installing, refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
- Cover
- For the refrigerant pipe to the evaporator
- There are different versions.
- Bolt
- Quantity: 4
- Tightening specification, refer to OVERVIEW - ATTACHMENTS FOR HEATER AND A/C UNIT AND AIR INTAKE HOUSING .
- Bolt
- Quantity: 2
- Tightening specification, refer to OVERVIEW - ATTACHMENTS FOR HEATER AND A/C UNIT AND AIR INTAKE HOUSING .
- Evaporator Housing Upper Section
- Removing and installing, refer to EVAPORATOR HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Bolt
- Quantity: 2
- Tightening specification, refer to OVERVIEW - ATTACHMENTS FOR HEATER AND A/C UNIT AND AIR INTAKE HOUSING .
- Cover
- For evaporator
- In the original equipment with the evaporator housing lower section. If a repair is required, replace separately.
- Glued in during installation of the replacement evaporator in the evaporator housing
- Removing and installing, refer to EVAPORATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Evaporator
- In the original equipment with the refrigerant pipes. If a repair is required, replace separately.
- Inspect the foam seal for damage and that it is correctly bonded
- Removing and installing, refer to EVAPORATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .NOTE:
If the evaporator is not available separately, the evaporator must be replaced with the evaporator housing. To remove and install the evaporator housing, refer to EVAPORATOR HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- O-Ring Seal
- Replacing.
- Lubricate lightly with refrigerant oil before installing, refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
- Air Distribution Housing
- There are different versions.
- Door, separator, refer to OVERVIEW - AIR DISTRIBUTION HOUSING DOORS AND PARTITIONS .
- Door operating lever, refer to OVERVIEW - FRONT ACTUATORS .
