Luggage Compartment Side Trim Panel, Removing And Installing, A3/A3 SPORTBACK: Removing

-- Remove the rear shelf.

-- Fold the rear seat backrest forward.

-- Remove the luggage compartment floor.

-- Vehicles Equipped With A Subwoofer, A3 e-tron/A3 g-tron: Remove the subwoofer. Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION OVERVIEW - SOUND SYSTEM / SUBWOOFER -R211-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the tool box with the vehicle tools.

-- Remove the lock carrier trim panel. Refer to LOCK CARRIER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the luggage compartment trim support. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SUPPORT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the tie down. Refer to TIE DOWN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Vehicle versions with a side cushion, A3 Sportback: Remove the side cushion. Refer to REAR SIDE PADDING WITH THORAX AIRBAG, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the cover for the luggage compartment side panel.

-- Unclip the cover -1- for the eyelet using the :3409 .

-- Remove the bolt -2-.

-- Remove the rear lid seal -1- near the luggage compartment side trim panel.

-- Pry the luggage compartment side trim panel -3- at the rear using the :80 - 200 from the body -A arrows-.

-- Vehicles from MY 2017: disconnect the connector for the power pivoting trailer hitch button.

-- If installed, disconnect the connector for the 12 V socket.

A3:

-- Carefully remove the upper luggage compartment trim from the C-pillar trim and from the front of the side trim -B arrows-.

-- Disengage the luggage compartment side trim and remove.

A3 Sportback:

-- Carefully unclip the upper luggage compartment trim from the D-pillar trim and from the front of the sill panel strip -B arrows-.

-- Disconnect the electrical harness connector for the luggage compartment lamp.

-- Disengage the luggage compartment side trim and remove.
