-- Pull the lever -1- and unlock the rear seat backrest.

-- Hold the lever pulled and remove the screw -2-.

-- Pry out the backrest release -arrow- and disengage the release cable.

-- Move the convertible top and convertible top compartment cover to the service position as shown in the illustration, refer to CONVERTIBLE TOP AND CONVERTIBLE TOP COMPARTMENT COVER SERVICE POSITION .

-- Remove the rear panel trim panel, refer to REAR PANEL TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the backrest latch, refer to BACKREST LATCH LOCKING MECHANISM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the release cable -1- from the brackets -arrows- or unclip from the bracket with the Pry Lever: 80-200  and cut the cable tie.
