Risk of injury due to convertible top compartment cover self-closing.
After approximately six minutes the convertible top control module will bleed the hydraulic pressure abruptly and the convertible top compartment cover could close uncontrolled.
- The convertible top compartment cover must move all the way to the rear into its end position.
- The hydraulic pressure within the system must be released before starting any work on the convertible top system.
-- Open the convertible top -1- until the marked spot on the convertible top and the convertible top compartment cover -2- is reached.
-- Secure the convertible top compartment cover against unintentional closing in the "open" position, to do this push the brace -4- toward the rear until the stop from the bracket -3- contacts the brace.
-- Thread the :T10038 into the :T40306 and turn the quick-action clamps three times on the shaft.
-- Engage the front and rear :T40306 in the center of the convertible top edge and adjust the tension if necessary.
-- With the ignition switched off, press the Convertible Top Operation Switch -E137- -item 1- for approximately five seconds.
- The pressure in the hydraulic system will come down.
