Selector Mechanism: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

Seals and self-locking nuts must be replaced.

-- Install the tunnel crossmember. Refer to TUNNEL CROSSMEMBER .

-- Install the heat shield under the shift mechanism. Refer to UNDERBODY TRIM PANEL .

-- Secure the driveshaft on the transmission. Refer to Removal and Installation (0BC) or Removal and Installation (0BD) .

-- Reconnect exhaust system making sure it is not under stress. Refer to the appropriate service information .

-- Install the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Install the gearshift mechanism. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, ADJUSTING .

-- Install the A/C system control head. Refer to DISPLAY AND CONTROL HEAD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
