- Torque wrench:V.A.G 1332
- Shock absorber set:T10001
- Stone Protection Plate
- Shock Absorbers
- Only shock absorbers with the same part number may be installed on the left and right.
- Removing and installing, Refer To SHOCK ABSORBER .
- Note different types of suspension versions, see vehicle data plate. Refer To PRODUCTION CONTROL NUMBER (PR NUMBER) EXPLANATIONS .
- Faulty shock absorbers must be vented and emptied before disposal. Refer To REAR GAS-FILLED STRUT, VENTING .
- Check removed shock absorber. Refer To SHOCK ABSORBERS, CHECKING WHEN REMOVED .
- Washer
- Always use.
- Protective Tube
- Buffer Stop
- Upper Shock Absorber Mount
- Installed position, Refer To Fig 3.
- Nut
- 35 Nm
- Always Replace If Removed.
- Loosening and tightening, Refer To Fig 2.
- Cover

- Ratchet (commercially available)
- Socket wrench 21 mm:T10001/9
- Ratchet:T10001/11
- Socket wrench 21 mm:T10001/1
Upper Shock Absorber Mount Installation Position
-- Install The Upper Shock Absorber Mount So It Is Rotated 90° To The Lower Shock Absorber Mount.
