Power Steering Pump Assembly Overview
NOTE:
Always Replace Seals.
Do Not Reuse Fluid You Have Drained.
Only Use Hydraulic Fluid.

- Sleeve
- Drive The Sleeve Back Slightly To Install The Power Steering Pump.
- Bolt
- 25 Nm
- Bolt
- 9 Nm
- Seal
- Always replace if removed
- Pressure LineCAUTION:
- Insert the pressure line completely when installing.
- Depending on the version, also mounted to the A/C compressor
- Intake Hose
- The "P" marking on the evacuation hose -arrow- must align with the formed seam -arrow- on the power steering pump.
- Clamp
- Tension using Hose Clip Pliers:VAG1275A
- Always replace if removed
- Bolt
- 22 Nm
- Belt Pulley
- Power Steering Pump
- Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information..
- Fill with Hydraulic Fluid before installing
- Delivery pressure, checking. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP, CHECKING DELIVERY PRESSURE, 6-CYLINDER DIESEL ENGINE, VEHICLES WITH AND WITHOUT DYNAMIC STEERING .
- Removing and installing. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 6-CYLINDER DIESEL ENGINE, VEHICLES WITHOUT DYNAMIC STEERING .
- Bleed the steering. Refer to STEERING, BLEEDING AFTER REPLACING .
- Check hydraulic fluid level. Refer to POWER STEERING FLUID LEVEL, CHECKING .
- Steering System, checking for leaks. Refer to STEERING, CHECKING FOR LEAKS .
