Power Steering Pump Assembly Overview

NOTE:

Always Replace Seals.

Do Not Reuse Fluid You Have Drained.

Only Use Hydraulic Fluid.

Bracket
Sleeve
- Drive the sleeve back slightly to install the power steering pump.
Bolt
- 20 Nm
Bolt
- 20 Nm
- For securing the bracket to the engine.
- Note the different bolt lengths.
Bolt
- 20 Nm
- For securing the bracket to the engine.
- Note the different bolt lengths.
Clamp
- Always replace if removed
- Tension using Hose Clip Pliers:VAG1275A
Intake Hose
- The "P" marking on the evacuation hose -arrow- must align with the formed seam -arrow- on the power steering pump.
Seal
- Always replace if removed
Pressure Line
CAUTION:
- Insert the pressure line completely when installing.

- 9 Nm
Power Steering Pump
- Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information..
- Delivery pressure, checking. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP DELIVERY PRESSURE, CHECKING, 6-CYLINDER TFSI .
- Removing and installing. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 6-CYLINDER TFSI, WITHOUT DYNAMIC STEERING .
- Fill with Hydraulic Fluid before installing
- Bleed the steering. Refer to STEERING, BLEEDING AFTER REPLACING .
- Check hydraulic fluid level. Refer to POWER STEERING FLUID LEVEL, CHECKING .
- Steering System, checking for leaks. Refer to STEERING, CHECKING FOR LEAKS .
Belt Pulley
Bolt
- 22 Nm
Bolt
- 20 Nm
- For securing the power steering pump to the bracket
Bolt
- 20 Nm
- For Securing The Bracket To The Engine.
