Starter, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With 1.8L And 2.0L TFSI Engine: Installing

Tightening Specifications. Refer To OVERVIEW - STARTER .

Install In Reverse Order Of Removal. Note The Following:

-- If The Vehicle Has A Multitronic Transmission And A 2.0L FSI Engine, Make Sure The Seal -1- Fits Correctly Inside The Starter Opening Before Installing The Starter.

The Sealing Piece Must Cover The Opening For The Starter -2- -arrow-.

CAUTION:

There Is A Risk Of Damaging The Starter.

To Tighten The Bolt -2-, Insert The Spacer Sleeve -Arrow- Between The Starter And Transmission.

-- Install The Engine Support And The Right Engine Mount. Refer To RIGHT ENGINE MOUNT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [FOR TRANSMISSION(S) 0B6] [FOR ENGINE(S) CAUA] .

-- Connect The Battery. Required Actions. Refer To CONNECTING .
