Tightening Specifications
-- Replace the O-ring seals depending on the version. Refer to the Parts information.
-- If applicable, inspect the alignment pin -4- for damage and check that it is seated correctly.
-- Inspect the guide ring -2- on the refrigerant line connection for damage.
-- Insert the O-ring seal -3- into the groove -arrow- on the refrigerant line connection -1-.
Coat the O-rings with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
Check O-ring seals for proper seating in groove -arrow- of respective refrigerant line.
Following attachment, check routing of refrigerant lines. They must be inserted in holders provided and not make contact with other components.
-- Insert the refrigerant lines -3 and 4- into the respective connections.
-- Tighten the bolts -1 and 2-.
-- On vehicles with a high voltage system (hybrid vehicles):
- Install the refrigerant line from the shut-off valve 1. Refer to Hybrid Battery Refrigerant Shut-Off Valve 1 -N516- REFRIGERANT LINE, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING, VEHICLES WITH HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM .
- Install the front refrigerant line to the battery cooling module. Refer to REFRIGERANT LINES TO FRONT OF VEHICLE REAR END ON UNDERBODY (VEHICLE FLOOR), REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM .
-- Evacuating and recharging refrigerant circuit. ..
-- Operate the A/C system after filling the refrigerant circuit. Refer to A/C SYSTEM, STARTING OPERATION AFTER FILLING REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT .
-- Check the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory and erase any displayed entries using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
