Overview - Refrigerant Lines, Expansion Valve, Inner Heat EXCHANGER

  1. Retaining Clamp
  2. Bolt
  3. Refrigerant Line - High Pressure Side
  4. Union Nut
    • 16.5 Nm
  5. O-Ring Seal
    • Replacing. For the correct version. Refer to the Parts information.
    • Coat with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
  6. Refrigerant Shut-Off Valve (Hybrid Battery Refrigerant Shut-Off Valve 1 -N516- / Refrigerant Shut-Off Valve -V424-)
    • There are different designations depending on the vehicle (Hybrid Battery Refrigerant Shut-Off Valve 1 -N516- on the Audi A6 Hybrid or the Refrigerant Shut-Off Valve -V424- on the Audi A6 e-tron). Refer to the Appropriate Wiring Diagram.
    • Installed in the left plenum chamber
    • To check, use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function
    • Removing and installing. Refer to Hybrid Battery Refrigerant Shut-Off Valve 1 -N516-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
  7. O-Ring Seal
    • Replacing. For the correct version. Refer to the Parts information.
    • Coat with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
  8. Union Nut
    • 16.5 Nm
  9. Refrigerant Line - High Pressure Side
  10. M6 Bolt
    • 9 Nm
  11. O-Ring Seal
    • Replacing. For the correct version. Refer to the Parts information.
    • Coat with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
  12. M6 Bolt
    • 9 Nm
  13. Refrigerant Line - Low Pressure Side
  14. O-Ring Seal
    • Replacing. For the correct version. Refer to the Parts information.
    • Coat with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
  15. Bolt - M8
    • 10 Nm
    • Quantity: 2
  16. Bolt
    • 10 Nm
    • Quantity: 2
  17. O-Ring Seal
    • Replacing. For the correct version. Refer to the Parts information.
    • Coat with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
  18. Expansion Valve
  19. O-Ring Seal
    • Replacing. For the correct version. Refer to the Parts information.
    • Coat with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
  20. Refrigerant Line with Inner Heat Exchanger
    • The warm, fluid refrigerant flowing on the high pressure side releases energy into the cold, vaporous refrigerant flowing on the low pressure side. This increases the cooling efficiency of the A/C system.
    • There are different versions. Refer to the Parts information.
    • Removing and installing. Refer to INNER HEAT EXCHANGER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
