Right Flange Shaft, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

Replace the circlip on the right flange shaft.

-- Clamp the flange shaft in a vise with protective jaws. Use the new circlip -A- to press the previous circlip out of the flange shaft groove.

-- Check the right flange shaft seal for damage and replace if necessary, refer to RIGHT SEAL, REPLACING .

-- Fill the space between the sealing and dust lip halfway with Sealing Grease G 052 128 A1.

-- Drive in the right flange shaft using the Bearing/Bushing Installer - Multiple Use VW295.

-- Install the right drive axle, refer to INSTALLING .

-- Install the driveshaft heat shield, refer to Fig 2.

-- Gear oil level in front final drive, checking and filling GEAR OIL, CHECKING LEVEL .
