Selector Shaft Seal, Transmission Installed: Installing

-- Lightly coat the outer circumference of the shaft seal with oil.

-- Fill the space between the sealing and dust lip half way with sealing grease G 052 128 A1.

-- Install the shaft seal with T10001/1.

Installed dimension: 2 mm below the housing outside edge

-- Install the selector lever as follows:

The gearshift lever -2- can be attached to the gearshift shaft -1- in only one position (gap in the splines -arrow-).

-- Tighten the selector lever. Tightening specification SELECTOR MECHANISM OVERVIEW .

-- Install the rear noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION .
