Overview - Front Brakes (1LB, 1LC, 1LE And 1LP): Notes

- Bolt
- 196 NmNOTE:
Loosen only the coil spring bolts
- 196 Nm
- Brake Caliper
- Do not loosen any screws on the brake caliper.
- Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, BRAKE 1LB/1LC/1LE/1LP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, BRAKE 1LB/1LC/1LE/1LP BRAKE, REPLACING .
- Refer to FRONT BRAKE CALIPER
.NOTE:
Depending on the model there are two dampers installed in each front brake caliper, refer to BRAKE CALIPER BALANCE WEIGHT .
- Bleed Screw
- Refer to HYDRAULIC SYSTEM, BLEEDING .
- Brake Rotor
- Allocate correct components.
- Always replace on both axles.
- Wear limit, refer to FRONT BRAKES .
- Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, BRAKE 1LB/1LC/1LE/1LP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Refer to BRAKE ROTOR, BRAKE 1LB/1LC/1LE/1LP, REPLACING .
- Clean and lubricate contact surfaces between brake rotor and wheel hub.
- Bolt
- 10 Nm
- Brake rotor to wheel hub
- Brake Pad Wear Wire
- On inner brake pad
- Brake Pads
- With the brake pad wear wire on the inside of the brake pad
- Check the brake pad thickness, refer to TECHNICAL DATA FOR BRAKES .
- Wear limit, refer to TECHNICAL DATA FOR BRAKES .
- Before installing the brake pads, clean the pad guide surface and coat it with a film of grease.
- Make sure it is installed in the correct position.NOTE:
Refer to SHIMS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, BRAKE 1LB AND 1LC .
- Brake Pad Pins
- Make sure it is installed in the correct position.
- Press all the way from the inside toward the outside
- Brake Pad Spring
- Make sure it is installed in the correct position.
- Brake Line Hose
- 19 NmNOTE:
Do not loosen when changing brake pads
- 19 Nm
Installed position for the brake pad spring brake pad pin -7-, brake pad pin -8-.
