Overview - Muffler, Vehicles With Engine Code CGQB

- Center Muffler
- Original equipment as one unit with rear mufflers.
- The center muffler and the rear muffler can be replaced individually if a repair is required.
- Separating point between the center and rear muffler, refer to EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS, SEPARATING .
- Align the exhaust system free of tension, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .

- Tightening specification: 23 Nm
- Suspended Mount
- Replace if damaged

- Front exhaust pipe
- With decoupling element, decoupling element must not be bent more than 10° - otherwise it may be damaged
- Protect from shocks and impact stress
- Removing and installing, refer to FRONT EXHAUST PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH ENGINE CODE CGQB .
- Align the exhaust system free of tension, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
- Nut
- Replace
- Tightening specification: 23 Nm
- Seal
- Replace
- Particulate Filter
- Removing and installing, refer to PARTICULATE FILTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH ENGINE CODE CGQB .
- After replacing, perform an Adaptation in Guided Functions =>
- Nut
- Tightening specification: 23 Nm
- Front clamping sleeves
- Before tightening, align exhaust system free of tension, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
- Installed position Fig 2
- Tighten threaded connections evenly.
- Nut
- Tightening specification: 23 Nm
- Suspended Mount
- Replace if damaged
- Check pretension, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .

- Rear Muffler
- With Engine Sound Generator Actuator 1 -R257- (right) or Engine Sound Generator Actuator 2 -R258- (left)

- Tighten threaded connections evenly.

-- Install double clamps so that the bolt ends do not project over lower edge of double clamp.
- Installed position: the threaded connectors face outward.
