Catalytic Converter, Removing And Installing, Non-Hybrid Vehicles: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

Replace seals and self-locking nuts.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps of the same type as those equipped by the factory .

-- Install the right drive axle heat shield .

-- Install the front muffler, refer to FRONT MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, NON-HYBRID VEHICLES .

-- Install the air filter housing, refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the electric wires, refer to appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAM.

-- Install the coolant pipe for the electric drive power and control electronics, refer to LOWER COOLANT PIPE ON LOCK CARRIER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, HYBRID VEHICLES .

-- Install the noise insulation, refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

NOTE:

Do not reuse used coolant.

-- Fill the coolant, refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING, NON-HYBRID VEHICLES => Filling .

Vehicles with Auxiliary Heater

-- Bleed the parking heater, refer to AUXILIARY HEATER HEATING ELEMENT -Z35-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
