Lower Coolant Pipe On Lock Carrier, Removing And Installing, Hybrid Vehicles

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Removing

-- Remove the front noise insulation, refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Remove the bolts -1- and then remove the torque support from the crossmember -3-.

-- Remove the bolts -2- and move the crossmember slightly to the rear.

NOTE:

Use a cloth to catch any leaking coolant.

-- Loosen the hose clamp -3- to clamp off the left and right coolant hose with Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm 3094 and then remove.

-- Remove the left and right bolt -2- and then remove the lower coolant pipe from the lock carrier -1-.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps of the same type as those equipped by the factory .

-- Install the torque support and crossmember, refer to TORQUE SUPPORT AND CROSSMEMBER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the front noise insulation, refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
