Torque Support And CROSSMEMBER, Removing And Installing: Installing
Replace any bolts that were tightened with an additional turn.
Remove the subframe bolts one after the other and replace them.
The hose connections as well as the air guide pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.
Secure all hose connections with hose clamps of the same type as those equipped by the factory .
In order to be able to securely mount the air guide hoses on their connectors, spray the screws on the previously used clamps with a rust remover.
-- Pay attention the installed position and the marking on the stop buffer.
-- Push the torque support -1- all the way onto the crossmember -arrow-.
- The stop buffer -2- must have no play and must be free of tension when it is installed on the crossmember.
-- Tighten the bolts -3- in this position.
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
-- Install the subframe, refer to INSTALLING .
-- Connect the coolant hoses with the connector coupling, refer to Figure.
-- Install the air guides, refer to OVERVIEW - CHARGE AIR SYSTEM .
-- Install the electric wires, refer to appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAM.
-- Install the left wheel housing liner, refer to FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Install the front noise insulation, refer to FRONT NOISE INSULATION .
