Seat Bench/Single Seat, Removing And Installing: Installing

NOTE:

The floor panel into which the mounting grommets are inserted must be checked after every disassembly of the bench seat and be readjusted in the case of deformation.

The wire frame of the bench seat must be checked after every disassembly and be readjusted in the case of deformation.

The mounting grommets must be replaced each time the bench seat is removed.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Remove mounting grommets -2- from the body opening and throw away.

-- Check the floor panel for deformation and adjust if necessary. Refer to FLOOR PANEL FOR BENCH SEAT MOUNTING GROMMETS AND WIRE FRAME, CHECKING AND ALIGNING .

-- Check the wire frame for deformation and adjust if necessary. Refer to FLOOR PANEL FOR BENCH SEAT MOUNTING GROMMETS AND WIRE FRAME, CHECKING AND ALIGNING .

-- Lift floor covering -3- and press in new mounting grommets -2- until they engage audibly in body opening -1-.

-- Place floor covering -3- around grommet -2- as shown.

NOTE:

Floor covering -3- may not be on grommet -2-.

Make sure the seat heating electrical collections slide on and engage audibly.

-- Insert bench seat -1- and press wire frame -2- "firmly" into grommets -3-.

-- Ensure that wire frames -2- are engaged correctly in grommets -3-.

NOTE:

The bench seat must finally be checked for secure fit.

-- For this purpose, grab with both hands under the seat bench frame on one side of the seat -A arrows- and pull evenly >>not abruptly<< upward with a force of approximately 100 to 150 N >>approximately 10 to 15 kg<<.

-- Repeat the procedure on the other side -B arrows-.

NOTE:

The bench seat must NOT disengage from the grommets.

-- If the bench seat does disengage, the entire procedure must be repeated. Refer to SEAT BENCH/SINGLE SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
