Fuel Injector Cleaner G17 Mixture, Reading Measured Values

The measured values needed will be erased when the DTC memory is cleared.
- DTC memory not erased.
-- Connect the vehicle diagnostic tester. Refer to VEHICLE DIAGNOSTIC TESTER, CONNECTING .
-- Perform the following on the diagnostic tester:
- Guided functions
- Vehicle brand and type
- Functions
- Select the engine electronics or the name of the injection and ignition system.
- Read the measured values
- Long term mixture composition, bank 1 (4-cylinder engines)
- Long term mixture composition, bank 1 and bank 3 (V6 and V8 engines)
-- Press Complete .
-- Press Read .
-- Continue following the program guide.
-- Evaluate the values:
If the value is less than 15 %: add fuel injector cleaner according to the chart. Refer to FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER G17, ADDING .
If the displayed value shows a difference greater than 15 %: increase the amount of fuel injector cleaner by a factor of four.
CAUTION:
If a deviation of > 15% is repeated, then a repair is necessary.
