Starter, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With 2.7L And 3.0L TDI Engine: Installing

Tightening specifications. Refer to OVERVIEW - STARTER .

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- If the vehicle has an automatic transmission, make sure the seal -1- fits correctly inside the starter opening before installing the starter.

The sealing piece must cover the opening for the starter -2- -arrow-.

-- Install the engine support and the right engine mount. Refer to RIGHT ENGINE MOUNT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING for 3.0L, engine(s) CCBA, CGXC, CTUB .

-- Install the lower right coolant pipe. Refer to OVERVIEW - COOLANT PIPES .

-- Install the generator: without parking heater (refer to GENERATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH 2.7L AND 3.0L TDI ENGINE WITHOUT PARKING HEATER ), with parking heater (refer to GENERATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH 2.7L AND 3.0L TDI ENGINE AND PARKING HEATER ).

-- Install the front exhaust pipe. Refer to EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS .

-- Connect the battery. Required actions. Refer to CONNECTING .
