STARTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, Vehicles with 2.0L TFSI Engine: Installing

Tightening specifications. Refer to OVERVIEW - STARTER .

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- If the vehicle has an automatic transmission, make sure the seal -1- fits correctly inside the starter opening before installing the starter.

The sealing piece must cover the opening for the starter -2- -arrow-.

CAUTION:

There is a risk of damaging the starter.

To tighten the bolt -2-, insert the spacer sleeve -arrow- between the starter and transmission.

-- Install the engine support and the right engine mount. Refer to ENGINE MOUNT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Connect the battery. Required actions. Refer to CONNECTING .
