Overview - Clutch Module

NOTE:
Clutch module -2- servicing. Refer to CLUTCH MODULE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- - Alignment Pins
- Not equipped for all vehicles; completely omitted from approximately 09/2007
- The alignment pins -A- (if equipped) must lock in the hole -B- when attaching the clutch module -2- to the drive plate -1-.
- - Alignment Bore
- The alignment pins -A- (if equipped) must lock in the hole -B- when attaching the clutch module -2- to the drive plate -1-.CAUTION:
The clutch will not function properly if it is not installed correctly.
- The clutch may have noticeable function problems if the alignment pins for the drive plate -A- are not inside the hole in the clutch module -B-.
- Locating pins -A- are discontinued as of approximately 09/2007.
- The alignment pins -A- (if equipped) must lock in the hole -B- when attaching the clutch module -2- to the drive plate -1-.
- - Drive Plate (see Fig 1).
- On 4-cylinder engines - 3 holes with threaded sleeves
- With 6- and 8-cylinder engines - 6 holes with threaded sleeves
- with needle bearing
- Removing and installing:
For Engine Code(s): CAEB, CAED, CPMA & CPMB (Sedan), refer to DRIVE PLATE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
For Engine Code: CALA (Sedan), refer to DRIVE PLATE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Ffor Engine Code(s): CCBA, CGXC & CTUB (Sedan), refer to DRIVE PLATE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- - Clutch Module (see Fig 1).
- With transfer plate
- Components: dual mass flywheel, clutch plate and clutch pressure plate
- Removing and installing. Refer to CLUTCH MODULE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Servicing. Refer to CLUTCH .
- - Bolt (see Fig 1).
Bolt
- 60 Nm
- For mounting the dual flywheel to the drive plate
- Quantity: three on a 4-cylinder engine
- Quantity: 6 with 6- and 8-cylinder engines
- Always replace.
- Follow the tightening sequence. Refer to TIGHTENING SEQUENCE - CLUTCH MODULE TO DRIVE PLATE .
