Vehicles with 6-cylinder engine

Removing

Remove front right wheel.
Remove generator. Refer to Removing .

Remove heat shield for right drive shaft -arrows-.

Disconnect cable for terminal B+ -2-.
Disconnect connector for terminal 50 -1-.
Remove heat shield -3- from solenoid switch.
Remove starter mounting bolts -arrows-, detach starter.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal, paying attention to the following:

Install generator. Refer to Installing , observe instructions for connecting battery.

Tightening torques
