Removing

• For vehicles with auxiliary heater, remove bolts -arrows- for exhaust pipe of stationary heater/auxiliary heater on noise insulation.

• Remove bolts or quick release screws -1- and -2- and remove front noise insulation.

• Unscrew line for terminal B+ -2-.
• Unplug connector for terminal 50 -1-.
• If installed, remove insulator at positive connection on starter.
• Unbolt clamp -4-.

• Unbolt bracket for starter on cylinder block -3- and on starter.

• Remove bolts -1- and -2-.
• Remove the starter from below.

Installing 

Installation is reverse of removal, paying attention to the following:

• Connect battery. Required steps. Refer to Battery, disconnecting and connecting .
