Battery, disconnecting and connecting

Procedure 

See Caution before beginning repairs on the electrical system. Refer to Battery, removing and installing 

• Note and if necessary, determine radio code for vehicles equipped with coded anti-theft radio / radio navigation system only foreign brands).
• Switch ignition off.

• Slide cover over the battery to the right -arrow 1- and pull it off upwards -arrow 2-.

• Disconnect Ground (GND) strap at battery -arrow-.
• To connect, connect terminal clamp of Ground (GND) cable by hand to battery negative post"-" and tighten nut.

• 24 MULTIPORT FUEL INJECTION (MFI) for 4.2 LITER V8 5V FUEL INJECTION AND IGNITION, ENGINE CODE(S): BHF

• After reconnecting voltage supply, ABS Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) only goes out after driving several meters.
