Clutch with SAC pressure plate (LuK version), servicing: Notes

NOTE:
- "SAC" stands for "Self-Adjusting Clutch".

1 - Dual-mass flywheel
- Ensure that dowel pins fit tightly
- Contact surface for clutch lining must be free of grooves, oil and grease

- Removing and installing → 13 - ENGINE - CRANKSHAFT, CYLINDER BLOCK
2 - Needle bearing
- Removing and installing → 13 - ENGINE - CRANKSHAFT, CYLINDER BLOCK
3 - Bolt for flywheel
- Replace
- Bolt length: 22.5 mm; 60 Nm + 90° further
- Bolt length: 43 mm; 60 Nm + 180° further

4 - Clutch plate
- Installation position: Clutch lining must make full contact with flywheel
- The marking "Transmission end" (transmission side), if provided, faces towards pressure plate/transmission.
- Coil springs (damper assembly) point towards pressure plate and transmission
- Clutch plate diameter → Code letters, assignment of mechanical units, transmission ratios, capacities
5 - SAC pressure plate
- Removing and installing → Clutch with SAC pressure plate, removing and installing
- Resetting adjuster ring → Resetting adjuster ring in SAC clutch pressure plate
- Check ends of diaphragm spring Checking ends of diaphragm spring
- Check that pressure plate is not distorted Check SAC pressure plate for distortion, cracks and burns
- Check spring connection and rivets Checking spring connection and rivet
6 - Bolt, 22 Nm
