Overview - Final Drive: Notes

- Shaft Seal
- For the input shaft
- Refer to INPUT SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING
- Shaft Seal
- For the left flange shaft
- Refer to LEFT SEAL, REPLACING
- Differential
- Bolt
- Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .
- Always replace
- Shaft Seal
- For the right flange shaft
- Refer to RIGHT SEAL, REPLACING
- Right Flange Shaft
- Removing and installing. Refer to RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Refer to RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Circlip
- Always replace
- Fill and Check Plug
- 30 Nm
- Always replace
- For the gear oil inside the front final drive
- Cover
- For the front final drive
- Pay attention to the alignment sleeves
- Removing and installing. Refer to LEFT SEAL, REPLACING .
- Prefill after removing the front final drive cover. Refer to GEAR OIL, DRAINING AND FILLING .
- O-ring
- Always replace
- On the front final drive cover
- Bolt
- 10 Nm
- Selector Lever
- Shaft Seal
- For the selector shaft
- Refer to GEARSHIFT SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING
- Transmission
- Left Flange Shaft
- Bolt
- 10 Nm +90°
- Always replace
- Mounting Bracket
- For the left flange shaft
- Attached to the left flange shaft with the ball bearing -17- and the circlip -18-
- Check for traces of wear on the mounting bracket and check the pretension on the ball bearing for the left flange shaft. Refer to LEFT FLANGE SHAFT BALL BEARING PRETENSION
- Removing and installing. Refer to LEFT FLANGE SHAFT BALL BEARING MOUNTING BRACKET, REPLACING .
- Ball Bearing
- For the left flange shaft
- Left Flange Shaft Ball Bearing Pretension, Checking. Refer to LEFT FLANGE SHAFT BALL BEARING PRETENSION
- Refer to LEFT FLANGE SHAFT BALL BEARING MOUNTING BRACKET, REPLACING
- Retainer
- Always replace
- Housing Cover
- With seal
- Bolt
- 5 Nm + 90°
- Always replace
- Dual Mass Flywheel
