Coupling Rod, Removing And Installing: Installing: Notes

Install in reverse order of removal. Note The Following:

-- Install the coupling rod -3- in the stabilizer bar -2- and tighten the nut -1- by hand.

Vehicles with a Steel Spring Shock Absorber

-- Install the block of wood between the subframe -1- and the upper rear transverse link -2-.

-- Press the axle down with a block of wood.

-- Install the bolt -arrows- between the air spring shock absorber -1- and the coupling rod -2- at the wheel bearing housing -3-.

-- Tighten the bolt by hand.

Vehicles with an Air Spring Shock Absorber

-- Loosen the bolt -arrow- between the air spring shock absorber -1- and the coupling rod at the wheel bearing housing.

-- Tighten the bolt by hand.

Continuation for Both Vehicles

The Coupling Rod May Only be Bolted When The Dimension "a" is Achieved. Refer to LIFTING THE FRONT AXLE TO THE CURB WEIGHT POSITION .

-- Fasten the coupling rod.

Vehicles with An Air Spring Shock Absorber

-- Fill the rear air spring shock absorber with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Install the wheel and tighten. Refer to WHEEL BOLT TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .
