Lower Transverse Link, Removing And Installing: Installing: Notes
Install in reverse order of removal. Note The Following:
-- Insert the transverse link in the vehicle and tighten the bolts by hand.
Vehicles With A Steel Spring Shock Absorber
-- Install the block of wood between the subframe -1- and the upper rear transverse link -2-.
-- Press the axle down with a block of wood.
-- Loosen the bolt -arrows- between the steel spring shock absorber -1- and the coupling rod at the wheel bearing housing.
-- Tighten the bolt by hand.
The Steel Spring Shock Absorber May Only be Bolted to the Coupling Rod on the Wheel Bearing Housing When the Dimension "a" is Achieved. Refer to LIFTING THE FRONT AXLE TO THE CURB WEIGHT POSITION .
-- Tighten the bolt on the steel spring shock absorber.
Continuation For Both Vehicles
The Tie Rod May Only be Bolted When The Dimension "a" is Achieved. Refer to LIFTING THE FRONT AXLE TO THE CURB WEIGHT POSITION .
-- Tighten the transverse link on the subframe and the wheel bearing housing.
Vehicles With An Air Spring Shock Absorber
-- Fill the rear air spring shock absorber with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
Continuation For Both Vehicles
-- Install the wheel and tighten. Refer to WHEEL BOLT TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .
-- Perform an axle alignment. Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT .
