Removing

NOTE:

The release cable -2- is not disconnected from the hood lock.

-- Open the hood.

-- Disconnect the release cable -2- from the release cable coupling. Refer to RELEASE CABLE, DISCONNECTING .

-- Disconnect the harness connector -7- for the engine hood contact switch depending on the optional equipment.

-- Remove the caps -4- from the bolts -6- in direction of -arrows a-.

-- Remove the bolts -5 and 6- and remove the hood lock -1- upward in direction of -arrow b- from the lock carrier.

-- Release the locking mechanism of the release cable in direction of -arrow c- and remove the release cable from the lid lock in direction of -arrow d-.

NOTE:

Removing and installing the engine hood contact switch on the lid lock depending on the optional equipment. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LAMPS AND SWITCHES .
