Bumper Cover, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the radiator grille. Refer to RADIATOR GRILLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the front noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Remove the bolts -7-.

-- Remove bolts -5 and 6- from the bottom.

-- Pull the left and right wheel cover -3- from the 3 latching mechanisms in the bumper cover -1- -arrow a-.

-- Remove the left and right bolts -4 and 5- from the wheel housing.

-- Release the latching mechanisms on the lateral guides in direction of -arrows b-.

A second technician is required for the rest of the removal procedure.

-- Remove the front bumper cover -1- from the vehicle so that it is parallel in direction of -arrows c-. A second technician is needed for this.

-- Depending on the equipment, disconnect the connectors of the electrical components.

-- Disconnect the hose coupling on the windshield washer fluid lines (if present). Refer to HEADLAMP WASHER SYSTEM .
