Reducing Agent Tank, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Empty the reducing agent tank. Refer to REDUCING AGENT TANK, DRAINING 

-- Remove the muffler. Refer to OVERVIEW - MUFFLER WITH MOUNTS .

-- Remove the muffler heat shield.

-- Loosen the rear axle stabilizer bar and fold it downward. Refer to OVERVIEW - STABILIZER BAR .

CAUTION:

Protect the connectors, for example with a plastic bag or cable ties, before coating with reducing agent. The connectors could be damaged because the reducing agent has a tendency to seep and it crystallizes.

-- Remove the connectors -1 through 3- from the bracket and disconnect them.

-- Remove the reducing agent line -4- and disconnect it as follows:

-- First press the securing clip of the wire connection on the Reducing Agent Injector -N474- as shown in the direction of -arrow 1- and then remove the delivery line -A- in the direction of -arrow 2- without using tools and without pulling sharply.

CAUTION:

Seal all openings on the line and the connections immediately with plugs to prevent contaminants from entering. Even tiny particles can cause serious damage to the system.

-- Position the Engine and Gearbox Jack: VAS6931  under the reducing agent tank.

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and lower the reducing agent tank using the Engine and Gearbox Jack: VAS6931  .
