Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION System Auxiliary Cooler, Removing And Installing: Removing
This procedure contains mandatory replaceable parts. Refer to component overview prior to starting procedure.
Mandatory Replacement Parts
- Nuts - Pre-Catalytic Converter to turbocharger
- Gasket -Pre-Catalytic Converter to turbocharger
- Gaskets - EGR pipes
-- Remove the bolt -arrow- from the tab on the pre-catalytic converter.
-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING .
-- Remove the left rear coolant pipe on the EGR auxiliary cooler. Refer to LEFT REAR COOLANT PIPE ON EGR AUXILIARY COOLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the rear coolant pipe. Refer to REAR COOLANT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bolts -1-, loosen the bolt -2- and remove the turbocharger heat shield.
-- Remove the nuts -arrows-.
-- Remove the pre-catalytic converter from the turbocharger and push it toward the rear.
-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2-.
Ignore -items 3 and 4-.
-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2- and remove the rear coolant pipe from the exhaust gas recirculation auxiliary cooler.
Ignore -items 3 and 4-.
-- Disconnect the vacuum hose -1- from the vacuum actuator and remove the EGR Cooler Switch-Over Valve 2 -N381- -item 3- from the bracket.
-- Remove the screw -2- and remove the left rear coolant pipe from the exhaust gas recirculation auxiliary cooler.
-- Remove the screws -arrows- and remove the exhaust gas recirculation auxiliary cooler.
