Front Three-Point Seat Belt, Removing And Installing: Installing

-- Install the automatic belt retractor -3- in the B-pillar.

-- Install the automatic belt retractor with the bolt -2- (4.5 Nm ) at the upper mounting point.

NOTE:

Make sure the anti-twist mechanism engages fully in the body opening.

-- Install the automatic belt retractor with the bolt -1- (50 Nm ) at the lower mounting point.

-- Install in reverse order of removal.

WARNING:

Make sure there are no electric cables in the belt retraction area.

-- Connect the battery. Refer to BATTERY .

CAUTION:

Vehicles with "PR number 4QE" have front seat belts equipped with a reversible belt tensioner.

If a front seat belt with a reversible belt tensioner is replaced, operate the control module integrated in the automatic belt retractor via "guided fault finding". Refer to REVERSIBLE SEAT BELT TENSIONER, REPLACING CONTROL MODULE, GUIDED FAULT FINDING .
