General Description

After switching on the ignition, the headlamp washers are activated on first use of the windshield washers. Afterwards, the headlamp washers are activated every fifth time the windshield washers are activated. To do this, windshield wiper lever must be pulled toward steering wheel for a minimum of 0.5 seconds with low-beam or high-beam headlamps switched on.

After assembly work or when first operating headlamp cleaning system, it must be ventilated to ensure proper function. Refer to HEADLAMP WASHER SYSTEM, BLEEDING .

Malfunction Recognition And Malfunction Indicator

The Vehicle Electrical System Control Module -J519- is equipped with On Board Diagnostics (OBD) which assists troubleshooting.

The "Guided Fault Finding" function is to be used for troubleshooting of one of the systems described as in chapter "Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System". Refer to VEHICLE DIAGNOSTIC TESTER .
