Right Flange Shaft Seal, Replacing, Final Drive 0C1: Installing

-- Drive the new seal in all the way using the Seal Installer - Flange Shaft:T10259 .

-- Fill the space between the sealing and dust lip halfway with Sealing Grease:G 052 128 A1 .

-- Check the dust cap for damage and replace it if necessary before installing the flange shaft -arrow-. Refer to RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT DUST CAP, REPLACING .

-- Tension the flange shaft in a vice. Be sure to use Vise Protectors -B-.

-- Remove the circlip -A- with Pliers.

-- Install the new locking ring into the groove in the flange shaft being careful not to overextend it.

-- Install the flange shaft using a Plastic Mallet.

-- Check the transmission fluid level in the front final drive. Refer to FRONT FINAL DRIVE, CHECKING TRANSMISSION FLUID .

-- Install the front final drive. Refer to FRONT FINAL DRIVE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
