Flange/Driveshaft Seal On Front Final Drive, Replacing: Installing

-- Fill the space on the new seal between the sealing/dust lip halfway with Sealing Grease:G 052 128 A1 .

-- Cover the splines on the stub shaft with adhesive tape.

-- Install the new seal into the seal seat on the final drive.

-- Install the seal all the way in using the Seal Installer - Front Final Drive Input Shaft:T10430 . Be careful not to tilt it.

-- Install the new dust cap using the Seal Installer - Front Final Drive Input Shaft - Thrust Piece:T10430/1 .

-- Install the front final drive. Refer to FRONT FINAL DRIVE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
