High Pressure Pump Assembly Overview

  1. High pressure pump
    • The Fuel Metering Valve -N290- is installed in the right high pressure pump (cylinder bank 1)
    • Fuel Metering Valve 2 -N402- is installed in the left high pressure pump (cylinder bank 2)
    • The Low Fuel Pressure Sensor -G410- is installed in the left high pressure pump (cylinder bank 2)
    • Removing and installing, refer to HIGH PRESSURE PUMP 
  2. Bolt
    • 9 Nm
  3. Seal
    • Replace
  4. Low Fuel Pressure Sensor -G410-
    • 10 Nm
    • Installed only in the left high pressure pump (cylinder bank 2)
  5. High-pressure line
    WARNING:
    • Before opening high pressure components of the fuel injection system, pressure must be relieved to residual pressure. Refer to BEFORE OPENING HIGH PRESSURE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM .
    • Then wrap a clean rag around the connection and relieve residual pressure by carefully loosening the connection.
    • Observe safety precautions when disconnecting the battery. Refer to BATTERY .
    • Before loosening, disconnect Ground (GND) cable at battery with ignition switched off
    • Connectors should not show any signs of damage
    • Do not change bent shape
    • 25 Nm
  6. Fuel supply line
    WARNING:
    • Before opening high pressure components of the fuel injection system, pressure must be relieved to residual pressure. Refer to BEFORE OPENING HIGH PRESSURE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM .
    • Then wrap a clean rag around the connection and relieve residual pressure by carefully loosening the connection.
    • Observe safety precautions when disconnecting the battery. Refer to BATTERY .
    • Before loosening, disconnect Ground (GND) cable at battery with ignition switched off
    • Connectors should not show any signs of damage
    • Do not change bent shape
    • 25 Nm
  7. O-ring
    • Replace
  8. Roller tappet
