Needle Bearing In Drive Plate, Replacing, Vehicles With Manual Transmission: Procedure

The Transmission Is Removed. Refer to TRANSMISSION - REMOVING AND INSTALLING [0B4] , TRANSMISSION, ASSEMBLY SEQUENCE [0B2 AWD] .

-- Remove The Drive Plate. Refer to DRIVE PLATE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- To remove and install, place the :40-103 under the drive plate.

-- Press out the needle bearing using the :VW421 and workshop press.

The smaller diameter of the :VW421 faces the drive plate.

-- Carefully Press The Needle Bearing In As Far As The Stop Using The :VW418A And Workshop Press.

Installed Position: The Closed Side Of The Needle Bearing Faces The Engine.

-- Install the drive plate. Refer to DRIVE PLATE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
