Rear Muffler: Removing

-- If necessary disconnect the muffler, refer to EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS, SEPARATING .

-- Remove the rear tunnel brace, refer to UNDERBODY PANELS OVERVIEW, CONVERTIBLE .

-- Loosen the clamping sleeve -arrow- and push it toward the rear.

WARNING: Risk of accident due to the weight of the rear muffler.

A second technician is needed to remove the rear muffler.

-- Disengage the rear muffler -10- from the mount -11-.

-- Remove the bolts -9- and -13- and remove the rear muffler -10-.
