Intake Flap Motor And Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor

For the installation location of the intake flap motor -V157-. Refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Removing 

-- Remove engine cover.

-- Disconnect vacuum lines -arrows-.

-- Remove bracket -arrow- for the harness.

-- Disconnect connectors attached to the wiring harness and move the cable harness to the side as needed.

-- Remove bracket for cable connector -arrows- from coolant pipe.

NOTE:

Open the nut with the left -arrow- just enough so that the bracket can moved to the side.

-- Carefully pry off linkage from Intake Flap Motor -V157- -4-.

-- Remove Intake Flap Motor -V157- -5-.

NOTE:

The illustration shows the intake manifold removed.

Installing 

-- Installation is in reverse order.



For installation location of the intake flap motor -V157-. Refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Removing 

-- Remove engine cover.

-- Disconnect vacuum lines -arrows-.

-- Disconnect connector on the turbocharger recirculating valve -N249- -1-.

-- Remove bolt -2-.

-- Open hose clamp -3- and remove the turbocharger recirculating valve -N249-.

NOTE:

Cover the opening on the intake hose.

-- Remove bracket -arrow- for the harness.

-- Disconnect the connectors attached to the wiring harness and move the cable harness to the side as needed.

-- Disconnect the cable connector bracket from the water pipe.

-- Carefully pry off linkage from Intake Flap Motor -V157- -4-.

-- Remove Intake Flap Motor -V157- -5-.
